Lord of the Flies
by William Golding
Lord of the Flies is an action packed novel which begins when a group of school boys are stranded on an island after surviving a plane crash. The boys struggle to survive as the island has nothing to offer them. Later as the compelling story line progresses the boys start to turn on each other and fight for there survival. The conflict in this novel changes from Man VS. Nature to Man VS. Man.
William Golding has created a book with a very gripping beginning which made me only want to read more. He has used good humour as shown on page 100 when jack is talking to Piggy “Shut up, your fat slug”. The book has is a great all round book. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys adventure stories. This story has a wonderful plot that really interests me as a teenager. The story line is very well spaced out with many thought out events. This book is a great read for adolescent kids. I honestly say that this is the best book I have ever read. I rate this book an outstanding 9/10.
I, William Cope, enjoy sports more than anything. My hobbies include sports such as rugby and football. My favourite sport is cricket. I am not fond of books but I confess to have fun reading this book.
