"CHERUB" The Recruit
The recruit by Robert Muchamore Is an Action filled book with the start of a new series called “CHERUB”. The setting is in England, London in present times. The protagonist, James Adams, is a 12 year old boy living with his Sister and Mother. He likes to play the play station and he is very good at Maths. Lauren is James’s little sister who. His Mother, A master criminal, who dies of to much alcohol and of a heart failure. The father is in prison. James and Lauren Gets get sent to an orphanage.
While being at the orphanage James gets has a room mate called Kyle, a CHERUB agent who has been sent out to recruit more homeless children to be agents. Kyle and James become good friends and not that much time together, Kyle makes that James and Lauren goes to CHERUB. But before they can join they have to show what they got in the Basic training. Sadly James has to first to learn to swim and Lauren is too young. After James could swim he started Basic training, 100 days of physical work in extreme conditions and even when they are exhausted they had to keep on going. After 100 days the People that are doing Basic training go to Malaysia to do their last week. James makes it and finishes off Basic training.
Right after Basic training James and his swim teacher, Amy, go to a mission to Fort Harmony. They are there to uncover the environmentalist group, Help Earth.The two kids stay with a woman from Fort Harmony and begin to unravel a plot to kill all the oil company representatives in the upcoming “Petrocon” oil convention. Will James and Amy be able to stop the Help Earth before it’s too late?
I would think this book would be great for all, its action filled and it has great exiting and interesting events happening all the time! It has been a very fun book to read because, not too much uninteresting talking and a lot of interesting action parts all the time!
Overall I would give this book a rating of 8/10.
